I was down to $9,000 in a $15k game, and I decided to make a stand going all-in on the flop. I had A/8 off, which is my best friend's lucky hand, his name's Sam Bristow so I know it as the Bristow Hand and I always play it. The flop brought me A/8/7, top two pair, and I went all in. I pushed everybody off - the last guy to fold had a 9/10 and folded it - and there was only one person left. He took ages and finally alled, with the same hand, 9/10 off. On the turn he got a Jack, making his straight, and a 6 came on the river. I was gutted.
