Early on in a $10 Texas Holdem satellite with 65 entrants. I hold 3d-2d, just rubbish. The flop brings me an admittedly very low flush draw but also pairs the board. I get this impulse that a bluff could work out nicely and choose to float the flop, that is, just call behind the bettor.
On the turn I lead out, but only very weakly to really build a credible story of having hit a monster. Two players call. Obviously, when the river brings a second pair I feel like a certain loser against two opponents. However, knowing that I can never win the pot in a showdown I go ahead and put in another weak bet. I have invested 40% of my stack in this pot.
Probably one of those very stupid poker hands -- but both opponents fold and I win a nice pot =)
