Was Playing at home in a regular 50p £1 ($1 $2 approx) Hold'em cash game. Everyones pretty solid apart from this one guy who plays LOOSE, throwing his chips all over the place and he normally does ok because people are quite scared of calling his monster raises (even bad players get good hands!!) Anyway i'm dealt KK on the button, couple of limpers before me, with the goon waiting on Big Blind, i flat call, hoping that the gimp on BB will be true to form and slap in a big raise!! To my relief, he does, up to £7, ($15), now i'm thinking i'd be happy to just flat call again but, i didn't want the uncertainty if an Ace comes on the board, so i re-raise £20 ($40) hoping to take the pot right there. He's thinking for a while, making the odd stupid comment "What you got hot shot" etc. but eventually he calls. I had no read on him whatsoever, the problem with this guy is he could easily have AA but just as easily have 72!!
Anyway flop comes 77K and i have the nut full house!! At this point i am kind of hoping he does have 72. He's first to act, and comes in, as usual with a big bet, i again re-raise (BIG), more stupid comments and another eventual call. Turn brings another 7, i don't have the nuts any more but am pretty confident he doesn't have the other 7 so i re-raise him again but this time all in putting about £250 ($500) into the pot in total. He calls. River brings the fourth 7 and he smiles and shows me his Ace kicker, declaring "I've got the nuts". I didn't eat for a week!!!
